Podcast

This week the robots FINALLY review one of the books they said they’d read months ago. Paul offered up Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot,” so this week they rip open that coffin and see what’s there. Enjoy!

This week’s promo – Glow-in-the-Dark Radio

The next book we’ll review is the book I offered up awhile ago, “14” by Peter Clines. Terry has also offered up David Weber’s “Oath Of Swords”

  1. Interesting podcast, especially for myself a life long King fan.

Terry’s criticisms have some merit though it would have helped if he could have provided some examples of ‘have the characters do meaningful things.’ With what King was writing about in terms of small town dynamics and undercurrents he did have his characters doing meaningful things.

The other surprise was Paul’s choice of two of his favorite King books – TommyKnockers and Needful Things. Both of those are near the bottom of my list.

If Terry thought there were too many characters in Salems Lot he would have an aneuriysm with The Stand!

    Cheers!

  2. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy listening to you guys. I enjoy you so much that I even listened to a podcast about a Stephen King book. Terry, you are not alone my friend. King bores the pants off me 🙂

  3. I’m looking forward to the episode on 14. I just finished reading it and quite enjoyed it, but I note on Goodreads that people seem to either love it or hate it, so I’ll be interested in seeing what the three of you thought (especially Terry)

  4. Great review of one of my favourite novels. You should read the short story ‘One for the road’ it’s a true sequel to this novel and layers a little more horror and some questions about what might have happened to Ben and Mark.
