Don’t fear the (freelance) editor! Haha.
If you get a free sample, you’ll know what to expect, and you can always ask the editor follow-up questions.
With freelancers, everything is up to you in the end; although, as one of the podcasters said, you should trust the professional, unless your gut is sure you should go a different route with a specific suggestion.
